This may not be the right place for this question, and if so I am sorry.

I had internet explorer until I got a virus that made it crash. I never got it to work again, so I installed FireFox.
FireFox works great, I love it! However, anytime I try to install anything that has an installation disc, it automatically tries to run the disc with internet explorer. It says "Page canot be displayed" Sofar I can't get anything installed.
My question: Why does it try to run with Internet Explorer even though I have FireFox as my default browser? AND How can I change it?
Any help would be great! I am so frustrated.

Ps. I deleted internet explorer
