Why don't browsers keep unchanged web pages in RAM, rather than seemingly reloading them from scratch each time. The major annoyance when this hits home in a big way is when you are on one of the news sites (like MSNBC or FOX) and you click a link on a story you are interested. Then when you simply want to go back to the main page, it goes through this major "reloading" process. The drive on the computer starts spinning, pictures start reloading, text begins flowing in, why? For the most part nothing has changed on the page in a time frame of 2 minutes reading of the link. I don't get it. It's really annoying and slows what should otherwise be a simple process?

Anyone else bugged by this?

Dan

this is set on the administrator site of the web page, sometimes they force the browser not to cache anything, this might be the issue in your case.
